The Fencing World Cup season started in the best possible way for Federica Isola, Ambassador of the Picca Garin team , who demonstrated her competitiveness in both the individual and team events at the stage in Fujairah, in the United Arab Emirates.
In the individual competition, Federica finished in an excellent 11th place, losing to Hungary's Kata Burcsik Muhari in the 4pm draw. The fiercely contested match was decided by a backhander, demonstrating Federica's high level of technique and tenacity, as she nearly made it into the top eight of the tournament.
The most exciting moments came from the team competition, where Federica was part of a renewed and ambitious Italy team alongside Alessandra Bozza, Lucrezia Paulis, and Gaia Traditi. The Italian quartet won a splendid silver medal, defeating top-tier teams like Poland (31-24) and the United States (45-34), only to fall in the final to a strong Estonian team by a score of 45-34.
